I was born and raised here in Manhattan. I have lived abroad and seen many beautiful cities in my relatively short existence but there is nothing quite like New York City. Now, don't get me wrong, there are moments when the hustle and bustle loses its allure and the litter paved sidewalks seem less than glamorous, but sooner or later the frenetic charms of the city weave an inescapable magical spell.
So rather than fight it, I figure it is better to put my excess energy to good use. As you will come to know, there is nothing that I love better than finding local hidden gems. From fancy cafes to hole in the wall mom and pop businesses, the number of trendy spots is nearly inexhaustible in a city of over 8 million inhabitants.
I love to travel but I despise being a tourist. When I travel, I like to see my destination through "native" eyes. As traveling is one of my life long passions, I hope to expand my treasure trove of local delights to share with fellow city-dwellers and passers-through.
My goal is to extol the places you might never hear about unless you too are a helpless rover and to learn about the wonderful bounty available in your neck of the woods.
